7 Amazing Gmail Tips and Tricks for Work
More than 80 per cent of our candidates use Gmail for both personal and professional purposes. On 1st April 2016, Gmail celebrates its 12th anniversary. On this occasion, we’ve put together a list of 7 amazing Gmail tips and tricks that are sure to change the way you use email and ensure that you don’t miss out on that job offer.
1. Recall a Sent Email
Accidentally sent off an email to your boss? There’s a way to recall that sent email. Click the cogwheel at the top right of your Gmail account > Settings > Enable Undo Send.
2. Use Gmail Offline
Did you know that you could use Gmail without being online? Install Gmail Offline (an extension of the Google Chrome browser) to read, reply to, search and archive emails all without an Internet connection.
3. Schedule emails to be sent later
If you’re not going to be up early in the morning (or late at night) to send out an important email, you can schedule it to be sent at a designated time. The Boomerang Gmail plug-in comes in very handy to send out emails at time/day of your choice.

4. Useful Keyboard Shortcuts
Enable your keyboard shortcuts (General > Settings > Turn on Keyboard Shortcuts) to speed up your tasks at work.

5. Insert photos easily

6. Move mails from Promotions to Primary

7. Silence your emails
To keep at bay unimportant emails for a specific period of time when at work, install the Chrome extension ‘Snooze your email for Gmail’. This will consolidate all the less important emails that you receive for that specified duration and later send you a reminder to bring them to your notice.
