Job Description

  • Attain and/or surpass budgeted revenue expectations and RevPAR index targets.
  • Focus on all revenue streams - Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa and Catering, etc.
  • Direct all sales and marketing initiatives for the hotel.
  • Prepare and administer the hotel's marketing plan and budget to achieve the revenue goals.
  • Lead in revenue management to ensure that maximum revenues and yields are achieved in the development, maintenance and Strategic Rate Pricing, Strategic Rate Selling.
  • Develop a strategic sales and marketing plan and the educate all members of the team to this direction.
  • Set individual Room Revenue and / or Night goals.
  • Forecast Distant Early Warning (DEW) mechanisms.
  • Identify market trends and new opportunities and implement strategies to address them.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the development of segment action plans.
  • Handle account management responsibilities for key market segment.
  • Ensure property adherence to customer care.
  • Provide appropriate training programs to sales office staff.
  • Responsible for quarterly management of the Sales Incentive Program.
  • Direct the activities of external agencies and internal staff on local and in-house advertising campaigns.
  • Supervise the production and distribution of literature and collateral.
  • Ensure the integrity of key account and key prospect data base and monitor staff input for accuracy, thoroughness and coverage of local area.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
  • Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events in conjunction with trade organizations.
  • Participate in select sales activities both on and off property.
  • Provide on-going direction and development support to all team members through sales training programmes that are in line with individual career objectives.
  • Develop and lead a motivated, competent and cohesive team consistent with defined strategies.
  • Focus on identification of hi-potential colleagues and succession planning opportunities and needs.
  • Coordinate and conduct periodic pricing reviews.
  • Communicate with Global Sales Offices and Corporate Sales Office personnel.
  • Actively participate in Regional and State Tourism Partnerships.
  • Focus on new accounts that may be users of other regional, national and international destinations.
  • Entertain existing and potential clients.
  • Ensure sales and marketing expenses are as per the business plan and within budget.

  • Candidate should have experience selling hotels services.
