Job Description

Job Summary - A Guest Room Associate works with the Hotel Manager and is responsible for the overall guest experience and relations in his/her Flagship hotel. He/she ensures unmatched guest experience at hotels through efficient execution of on-premise operations such as Housekeeping and Maintenance. As the face of the brand and hotel, he/she deals with the general public, customers, employees and government officials with tact and courtesy


Duties and responsibilities -

  • Attends the Morning stand up
  • Duly accomplishes the duties assigned to him/her on daily basis and gives an update
  • Makes rooms ready for arrival/service occupied rooms (room cleaning, bed making, bathroom cleaning)
  • Gives maintenance pertaining to rooms - immediately when attending to the room
  • Responsible for maintaining the Public Areas (Clean and Tidy)
  • Checks for any sort of maintenance on guest floors( Wiring/WIFI/Lights/Furniture/ painting/plumbing etc.)
  • Well versed with all type of chemicals used for cleaning
  • Well versed with room structure and hotel periphery
  • Should be able to identify & address guest needs (follow-up & ownership of the same till resolution); and know when to escalate Guest issues/concerns/requirements to the GRE/HM when required (immediately) and take ownership for the same till resolution
  • Should be able to converse well with Guests (suitable 7 relevant conversations) in Guest Areas, and portray professionalism

Selection Criteria

Academic Credentials and Experience -

• Graduate or diploma holder in Hotel Management / Hospitality from a recognized Institute + 2 to 3 months of work experience with a 5 Star Hotel as follows-

Oberoi , Taj , ITC , Leela , Hyatt , Hilton , Trident , Westin, JW Marriott, The Imperial, The Shangri-La Or Le Meridien, Four points Sheraton, Pullman, Dusit, Lemon Tree Premier, Sarovar Premier,Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn, Ibis, Red Fox
• Minimum 6 months of work experience with a 5 Star Hotel from the aforementioned list

Language Skills
• Brilliant oral and written English skills for guest and employee interaction
