Job Description

  • Proposal production Writes quality responses to requests for a wide variety of proposals including multinational proposals, as well as researching answers required to respond the RFPs.
  • Works with business development personnel to ensure our features and benefits for prospective and current customers are well articulated and clear throughout any submission.
  • Manages the proposal development process and individual bid team to ensure timely proposal completion including; acting as primary point of communication within the proposal development process; establishing and managing timelines and deliverables; scheduling meetings, taking and distributing meeting notes; coordinating with the pricing team and ensuring that the proposal is submitted to client according to established deadlines and delivery methods.
  • Leads conference calls/meetings with multiple levels of management and contributors; keeps calls on topic and ensures appropriate sales strategy is developed; works with stakeholders to validate strategy in global business context.
  • Ensures proposals, supporting materials and client-facing documents are accurate for grammar, style, continuity and content.
  • Proof reads and edits proposals and business development/marketing materials, as needed, to improve clarity, accuracy and readability.
  • Project management Manages the proposal development process and individual bid team to ensure timely proposal completion including; acting as primary point of communication within the proposal development process; establishing and managing timelines and deliverables; scheduling meetings, taking and distributing meeting notes; coordinating with the pricing team and ensuring that the proposal is submitted to client according to established deadlines and delivery methods.
  • Analyze and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Make informed and sustainable recommendations to the BCD Travel nominated team.
  • Develops and maintains good relationships with internal topic owners.
  • Editing and proofreading Takes information and crafts into usable content consistent with corporate positioning and Tone of Voice in support of specific sales efforts and ensures suitability for insertion into proposal content database.
  • Applies company Tone of Voice and corporate positioning as defined is applied to all knowledgebase data and client facing collateral.
  • Proof reads documents for content accuracy and grammatical correctness.
  • Secondary Responsibilities Seek out internal and external information to ensure clear response to clear understanding of client requirements are addressed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of competitor activity, industry trends and product developments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with all levels of management.
  • Ability to set priorities, establish goals and plans, manage time and team workload effectively.
  • Adheres to the Company's travel and entertainment policy.
  • Supports Company and Regional initiatives.
  • Projects a favorable image of BCD Travel at all times.

Selection Criteria

  • Fluent in Business English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Minimum 5 years bid writing experience in a mid-large sized organization.
  • Strong general computer literacy, including MS Office, Internet applications.
  • Graduate degree from a reputed University.
  • Knowledge of business travel management preferred.
  • Travel or related industry experience.
  • Highly developed communication skills, oral, written and presentation.
